How can i publish my book?
Ok so im 14 . I wrote a short book for children , i think its really good i’ve sent it to my friends they all like it . I haven’t had any negative feedback .I’ve tried looking at all these publishing book sites but they cost tons . how can i publish my book for a cheaper price .
Thanks
I guess since you’re talking about what it costs to publish a book, that you’re wanting to self-publish? With a mainstream publisher the author does not pay for publication– the author is the one who is supposed to get paid. That takes a lot of time and patience, though, since your book needs to be really good–not just one that your friends like, but one that a publisher is willing to take a gamble on, one that looks like it would sell enough to make everyone a profit. If you want to go that route you need to find a critique group of writers in your area so people who know about writing for children can read your work and give you some feedback about how to get it ready for submission to a publisher.
If you do want to self-publish, Lulu.com has a good reputation. Whatever you do, go to the Predators and Editors website or Writer Beware and look up the companies you’re interested in. They will steer you away from the places you should avoid, like PublishAmerica, for example.

Find a printer in your yellow pages or http://www.yell.co.uk get it printed! Start off with 100. Aproach local shops, book shops. If its sucessful start speaking to a book publisher like Harper Collins or virgin books, they’ll print it and they’ll be able to get it into the big shops.
Oh and also set up a website!
BEST OF LUCK

Your best bet is print-on-demand publishers like http://lulu.com They print one copy at a time and only when people put in an order for one. Many of them accept PDF files which is how you will need to publish if you have illustrations. Your royalites are much higher than conventional publishers as well. Many will list your book on Amazon too.

Hi,
It’s great that your friends think your book is really good, you might have a bright future as a writer ahead of you.
You could profile it on http://www.worthyofpublishing.com, this could help you gain international awareness for your book so you may sell more copies once published. If the website visitors rate your work highly, you may end up attracting a publisher who will pay you to publish your book. The website is free for writers.
Good luck
